Jari lives in a tiny studio apartment in Jyväskylä, Finland and pretty much spends all his time sitting in front of his computer and wouldn’t change it for anything.
In 2015 I completely abandoned digital painting and just focused 100% on vector graphics because I wanted to branch more into graphic design and my illustration style kinda formed itself in the process.
This band is dedicated to the gamer—a breed of human identified as having at least one square eye, energy drink for blood and being able take at least 50 Game Overs in a row (without destroying anything).
“I use Adobe Illustrator with the cheapest Logitech mouse I bought from a supermarket 5 years ago and that’s it. Best mental tool is anxiety either from a nearing deadline or from having procrastinated too much and not having done art in a long time.“
To kinda continue from the previous question the ongoing challenge is to find new ways to express myself and to evolve as an artist. I think I’ve become too comfortable with my own little niche and I need to get out of my comfort zone again in a big way.
What future styles or direction to you want to explore/ take your art?
“I’ve been saying to myself I’ll learn 3D and motion graphics forever and I still haven’t fully jumped in and I really need to stop being a giant pussy and do it.“
